There are a few reasons why you might experience an error when activating your app via the QR code.
Error Type: “Network Error” or “Servers are busy”
What should you do? These errors are usually associated with a poor network connectivity on your device. You can try turning off WIFI or connecting to a stronger WIFI signal. If you are not on WIFI then your Data signal is not strong enough. In this case you may want to try restarting your phone which can help to free up some bandwidth. If that doesn’t work we suggest going to get a cup of coffee and coming back to try it again later 🙂
Error Type: “This QR code is not compatible” or “This code has already been scanned” or some version of code is incompatible.
What should you do? This message only appears when the QR code has already been used or if you are scanning the wrong QR code :). You should always ensure you are using the QR code that is generated for you from your own account and be sure that you are scanning the correct QR code. If you think you may have activated your account please go ahead and do either 1 or 2 listed below:
Trigger yourself a password reset by going back to the log on page, click “Log In” and then “I forgot my password.” Check your email in a few minutes and follow the instructions.
Retrigger the “Account Activation” email. In this case you may have already started the activation process and just never finished it. Distractions happen to the best of us. What you need to do is attempt to log in using the “Log In” button on the homepage. Enter what you think your email and password would be and then click on “Resend the verification email.” Using this option will also present you with an option to completely restart your registration which may be helpful if you need to change the email associated with your account.
If you know you have never gone through the activation process in full or partially then most likely you are scanning the wrong code.
