There are a few best practices that we recommend prior to walking into your screening.
- Stay hydrated: Drink12 ounces of water 30 minutes before screening
- Fast: Do not eat or drink anything (except water) for at least 8 hours prior to screening for the best results.
- Medication: Take any medication, as directed by health care provider.
If you are pregnant or have other medical restrictions that make it hard for you to fast for 8 hours please you should of course do what is best for you and directed by your doctor, but you can try to schedule your appointments for as early as you possibly can and bring a snack with you to the screening so that you can immediately take in some calories once your blood has been drawn.
